Many people feel they are not competent enough to
answer God’s call, some feel that they have to be a certain way, look a
certain way or speak a certain way; that is so far from the truth. God wants
you just as you are. Let’s take a look at the people God chose in the Bible to
be leaders, speakers, teachers and doers of other works, if you noticed most of them had a past or
didn’t live the life of a saint until after their transformation.
Every saint has a past and every sinner has a
future. Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a
temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a
murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossiper, Martha was a worrier and Thomas
was a doubter, Sarah was impatient, Elijah was depressed, Moses stuttered, Zaccheus
was short, Abraham was old and Lazarus was dead. Yet, God called and used each of these
individuals to a special ministry and mission in doing His Will in some role
or another whether we see it large or small. We
have
heard the saying “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the
call.” If God can use each of these people, just think what He can do
with and for you. The
reason why GOD gave the assignment to you and not to someone else, maybe
because HE TRUSTS YOU with the task! The only way we can truly be happy
is to
do what God has called us to do. Remain open to him! Be still! God
KNOWS what assignment
to give you.
