Before Jesus Resurrected Jarius' Daughter In Mark 5. He Kicked All The Unbelievers Out Of The Room. This Is Not A Season To Have Unbelievers Around You When It Comes To Accomplishing Goals And Fulfilling Purpose. No Offense, All Love.

Many Of His Disciples No Longer Walked With Him. John 6:59- 71. Will you also go away?

Before Jesus resurrected Jarius' daughter in Mark 5. He kicked all the unbelievers out of the room. Unbelief disqualifies you from experiencing the supernatural and hinders the flow of God’s manifestation in your life. With that being recognized, this is not a season to have unbelievers around you when it comes to accomplishing goals and fulfilling purpose. No offense, all love, but unbelievers and doubters got to go. We are winning over here. If you don’t believe, don’t show up.  Mark. 9:22-23.  You have doubters, dream killers, and the faithless. Father help their unbelief.  Stay connected to God.

Father, today we stand in victory and call everything into submission through the authority of Jesus Christ.  Illness must flee; circumstances must flee and lack must flee. There’s nothing too hard for You to end. Father help our unbelief.

I love this analogy

When GOD wanted to create the fish, HE spoke to the sea, when GOD wanted to create the trees, HE spoke to the earth but when GOD wanted to create Man, HE spoke to Himself. Then GOD said, “Let US make Man in Our image, according to Our likeness.

If you take a fish out of the water, it will die and when you take a tree off the ground, it will also die. Similarly, when Man is disconnected from GOD, he dies. GOD is our natural environment. We were created to live in HIS presence. We must be connected to HIM because only in HIM there is Life.

Remember...We recall that water without fish is still water, but fish without water is nothing. The soil without a tree is still soil, but the tree without soil is still nothing. GOD without Man is still GOD but Man without GOD is Nothing.   STAY CONNECTED TO God.

John 6:59-71: He said these things while He was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. When many of His disciples heard it, they said, "This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?" But Jesus, being aware that His disciples were complaining about it, said to them, "Does this offend you? Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless.  The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But among you there are some who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the first who were the ones that did not believe, and who was the one that would betray him. And He said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted by the Father." Because of this many of His disciples turned back and no longer went about with Him. So, Jesus asked the twelve, "Do you also wish to go away?" Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that You are the Holy One of God." Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve?  Yet one of you is a devil." (He was speaking of Judas son Simon Iscariot, for he, though one of the twelve, was going to betray Him).

Mark 6:4-6: Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”  So, He could not perform any miracles there, except to lay His hands on a few of the sick and heal them. And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He went around from village to village, teaching the people.…

Mark 4: 18-19 – 20. Beyond your imagination, above what you are asking because He is not limited, The Word of God Is A Dream Fulfiller. Nourish Your Dream with The Word of God.  Feed that dream with nutrient which is God’ word, you are nurturing and cultivating. When you get into God’s presence you get to see the depth of it.  God is looking for you to seek Him out, feed on the word of God, one idea that can bring you out of all the lack into wealth.

Mark 29: 3-4 All things are possible to him who believes. Do Not Let People Kill Your Dream, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

When you make up in your mind that I am going to walk in my dreams and the desires and the visions that God has given me, that is when the enemy looks to see who he may devour, that is the point where it seems like everything has broken loose. See, it is not until you make up in your mind that you are going to live out your dream that is when the enemy comes in like a flood. See you can have a dream, but it is when you plan to live out that dream, is when the enemy tries to destroy it. The devil does not want you to be successful in fulfilling your destiny, the expected end that God has for you.

Everything could be simply fine in your relationship with someone, a friend, a brother or a sister or a close relative, and sometimes even your own spouse. Then suddenly, they just turn left. Things began to fall apart. The devil will use the ones that are close to you so he can kill your dream, kill your future, kill your desire, and your ambitions.

But I am here to tell you today to watch out for dream killers. Watch Out for Ones When You Say That God Has Called You to Something and They Say How You Are Going to Do That? Watch out for the dream killer. Watch out for the one that you share your ambitions with. And they laugh in your face. Watch out for dream killers. Watch out for the ones that cannot see your vision. Watch out for the ones that do not support you. Watch out for the one, when you say you are going back to get that degree. They say you are too old. Or you are just not smart enough. Watch out for the dream killer. Father, help their unbelief.

WATCH THIS: people do not have to be the only dream killers, emotions can be dream killers, attitudes can be dream killers. What do you mean J.P.? So-n-so hurt my feelings and I am not going back there anymore. That is a dream killer; remember the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations.

Beware of The Dream Killer. Spirit of offense is to kill the mighty works of God, get offended every time somebody open their mouth you will never see dreams fulfilled; guard your heart against the spirit of offense, recognize or perceive offense is a trap of the devil to steal your dream. Jesus became a man to feel what you feel, He felt what you felt. He was offended daily, but Jesus knew His destiny. He knew His purpose.

The cares of this world will try to come in and steal your dream. You must know whose voice you are going to listen to too; the devil will tell you there is never an opportune time to step out. You cannot let the pressures of this life and world get you off your dream. Faith staggers are not at the promise of God, do not question God, His promise is to stagger not. Stop trying to figure out when God is going to do it and do not think that it is up to you alone to fulfill your dream, God is able to perform it. The Word of God is eternal. God does not break promises. He is a Promise Keeper. He is faithful to His promise. The Word of God is a Dream Fulfiller.

The teaching on the Bread of Life churns-up a variety of emotions. Anger, among those who take umbrage at Jesus claim to be the bread of life come down from heaven, and the implicit claim that He has come from God. At the same time, they are delighted at the confusion his teaching causes among His disciples. As one claim follows another that confusion grows as they try to cope with the startling disclosure that: “the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."

This is followed by the revelation: “Those who eat My flesh and drink My blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day; for My flesh is true food and My blood is true drink.” Jesus is not only talking about His greatest gift to us, but He also reveals who He is by saying: “I will raise them up on the last day”. If, indeed, they accept that He is the bread of life come down from heaven they are now being asked to feed on His flesh and blood. There is shock, disillusionment, an inability to understand. Many are scandalized. It is crunch-time for His closest disciples. They understand what He says, but many are unable to cope with it.

An angry murmuring begins. Shocked by His words, Jesus says nothing to make what He has said more palatable. The more the murmuring, the more insistently He repeats: “My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.”  No compromise.

If His enemies rejoice at the confusion, there is sadness in the hearts of many who have been loyal disciples. There is hesitation in the minds of many. His words are offensive. Eat His flesh, drink His blood! He enters their confusion and asks them to trust Him. “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” Trust is a gift from the Father. “I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted by the Father."

The result of Jesus teaching is: “many of His disciples turned back and no longer went about with Him.” They cannot stomach His teaching, a moment of sorrow for Him and for many of them. He has failed to carry them with Him.

He turns to the twelve and asks: "Do you also wish to go away?" No sentimentality. Stay or go. The choice is yours. You are free. Peter answers, for them all; “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that You are the Holy One of God." Peter’s act of faith, he speaks for all but one does not believe. 5. If Christ lost followers for affirming these truths, so will we.

How many of you have ever been told something that you found hard to believe? Perhaps it was so difficult to believe that no matter what the proof offered to support it, or no matter how credible the person telling you the information, you simply refused to accept it. I am confident that most of us have had this type of experience. It is in our nature to question what is hard for us to understand whether it is concerning earthly matters or spiritual matters.

We see a prime example of this concerning spiritual matters. We read in our Bible the Savior telling the people and his disciples that if they eat His flesh and drink His blood they will be raised on the last day and receive the gift of eternal life. The people in the synagogue had difficulty in accepting this teaching from our Savior, because the words of Jesus were hard to understand. Jesus compared Himself to the Manna that their fathers had eaten for 40 years in the wilderness. He called Himself the Living Bread from heaven. This was too much for the stiff-necked people of Israel to grasp, so they grumbled against Jesus.

John records for us the reaction of the Lord’s disciples. As difficult as it was for the common Jew to accept Jesus’ teaching, so also His disciples struggled with these words of life. Recently, the disciples were witnesses to the feeding of the 5000. For the past three years, they had seen Jesus heal the sick and the raise the dead, give sight to the blind, and hearing to the deaf. These miracles showed that He had the power to do things only God could do. They listened to His teachings, and they knew that His words were God’s words. However, there were some on this occasion that refused to accept His words. They failed to realize that GOD’S WORD HAS ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES. For some it brings eternal death, and for others it brings eternal life.

At this point in the ministry of our Savior, many disciples had gathered around Him. We have become accustomed to thinking only of just 12 disciples, but there were many more. Luke records for us in His Gospel how Jesus sent out 72 disciples with instructions to proclaim that the Kingdom of God is near. Jesus told them that there would be some who would accept God’s word and its eternal consequences and there would be some who would not. For the ones who did not accept God’s word, their unbelief brings eternal death. Our Savior said, "But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’ I tell you; it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town" (Luke 10:10-12). Jesus warned his followers that they would encounter people in towns and villages that would not listen to them. You would think as the disciples listened to Jesus’ words that He was the bread of life, they would have believed what Jesus told them. However, John tells us in our lesson, "On hearing it, many of His disciples said, "This is hard teaching. Who can accept it?” (John 6:60).

There are teachings in the Bible that are very difficult to understand. But where there are difficult teachings there are also explanations. Jesus in love for His disciples explained to them just what His words meant. He was speaking of spiritual things, and they must be heard with spiritual ears and not with ears of the flesh. Jesus said, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life" (John 6:63). The words Jesus spoke were filled with the Holy Spirit and give eternal life. Jesus told his disciples that they needed to understand them through faith and not through the flesh, which by its nature is hostile to God.

But as some of Jesus’ disciples did not accept His words, so today there are some Christians who do not accept them either. They find the words of God to be objectionable, offensive, and impossible to accept. Are we any different from the disciples? God tell us exactly what He expects in the relationship between husband and wife and many of us refuse to accept these words. We push the word of God aside and try to explain it to ourselves as having been written for a people who lived 2000 years ago. We say, "Times are different now. Surely, God did not mean that for us today." Instead of trusting the word of God as the truth and using it as the guiding principle in our lives, we try to go our own way; a way that may lead to death and eternal destruction. In the Book of Proverbs God tells us, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death" (Proverbs 16:25). Sometimes we do not live according to the statement: "God said it, I believe it, that settles it!"

We confess that the Bible is God’s inspired word, but when we read something that goes against our human reason or something we do not like, we simply refuse to believe it. Satan uses our stubborn human reason as a weapon against us. The Devil is very good at creating doubt in our minds when we struggle with what God has told us. He used the very same tactic with Eve in the garden and he used it on the Jews that Jesus was preaching to in the synagogue. The Jews grumbled and said, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” (John 6:52) Their sinful human reason got in the way of the life-giving words of Jesus, and so it was for the disciples. God’s word has eternal consequences. For some it brings eternal death. We can see this by the actions of those disciples who turned back and no longer followed Jesus.

So where do we fit into this picture? We all have turned our back on Jesus at one time or another. We say we believe what God says, but do we live like it? What about the times we fail to come to church because we have "other plans?" We know that God tells us to put Him first above all things, yet we cannot take one hour of our precious time to worship the Lord. How often have we been out with friends and family and heard someone take the Lord’s name in vain and we simply allow it to go without any rebuke from us? How often do we misuse the Lord’s name instead of using it in prayer or praise for what He has done for us?

We have all made bad choices in our life. Nevertheless, for the disciples who no longer followed Jesus, their decision brought them the consequences of eternal death. This was more than a bad choice. It was spiritual suicide. They turned and walked away from the only one who could repair the damaged relationship with God that their sins have brought on them. But for the disciples that remained, for the ones who hung on His every word as a drowning man hangs on to a life preserver, these words bring eternal life.

People say we should be more tolerant of others and be more diverse. They say we all worship the same God. We just have many different ways of getting to heaven. However, we believe in the Triune God and that all other gods are idols. We believe the words of our Savior when He says there is only one way to heaven. Jesus tells us, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6) and He reminds us of this fact in the inspirational reading today. Lord Help their unbelief. There is only one way!!

Remember This: Before Jesus resurrected Jarius' daughter in Mark 5.

There Is No Plan B With The Love Of God. Know That It Is Always God’s Will To Heal Us; That It Is Always His Will To Prosper Us; And If We Could Grasp This Revelation, It Would Solve All Our Problems. When Nothing Else Could Help His Love Lifted Me!

There Is No Plan B With The Love Of God. Know That It Is Always God’s Will To Heal Us; That It Is Always His Will To Prosper Us; And If We Could Grasp This Revelation, It Would Solve All Our Problems. If We Understood How Much God Loved Us, Our Faith Would Shoot Through The Roof. You’d Be Overwhelmed. When Nothing Else Could Help His Love Lifted Me!

God loves you because it is His character. He loves you not because of duty, but because it is who He is and what He does.

There is one thing we all have in common & it is that we have a deep need for love.  There is something even more interesting & it is that no one will ever feel complete without accepting God’s love. So, if there is an emptiness that you need to be filled try embracing God’s love.

People use the word love loosely, meaning it has no substance to it, an overused word with no true meaning. We have heard and seen people say I love you to people they do not even like.

Just like the swiftness seen with people who rush into relationships, there are also ... times without purpose or actual reason, does it not lose its significance? The word love is being used at the wrong time and in the wrong context. ... Absolutely loving someone is realizing they have flaws, and so do you, and ... It just seems like love is so shallow now or people don't take it seriously.

How God showed us His love: Jn.3:16 God so loved the world, that He gave His only...Son.

Rom.5:7,8 God commanded His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1Jn.4:9 In this was manifested the love of God...God sent His Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

His love leaves the ninety-nine to find the one every time. To many practical adults, that is a foolish concept. “But what if He loses the ninety-nine in search of the one. What if finding that one lost sheep is and will always be, supremely important. His love is not cautious. No, it is a love that sent His own son to die a gruesome death on a cross.  There is no plan B with the love of God. He gives His heart so completely, so preposterously, that if refused, most would consider it irreparably broken. Yet He gives Himself away again. The recklessness of His love is seen most clearly in this-it gets Him hurt over and over. Make no mistake, our sin pains His heart. And 70 times 7 is a lot of times to have your heart broken. Yet He opens and allows us in every time. His love saw you when you hated Him when all logic said,” They’ll reject me,” He said, I do not care if it kills me. I am laying My heart on the line. To get personal, His love saw me, my innocence and youth poured out like water. Yet, He saw fit to use me for His kingdom because He is just that kind. I did not deserve it, as I often say, God extended to us His grace and mercy and we were so underserving, but He is just that good, to look beyond our faults and see our needs. Oh, the overwhelming never ending reckless love of God.

Colossians 3:12-14 ESV

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put-on loves, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

What Does the Bible Say About True Love?

What is love?

What does the Bible say about love?

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8.

Love is not just an emotion but seen as an act of devotion. True devotion will always lead to loving actions. 1 John 3:18 says “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

When we think of love, it is easy to think about good feelings. But real love is not dependent on feelings. It is about so much more than how I feel about someone. Whether it is romantic love, a member of my family, a friend, a co-worker, so often love is given and received based on what I get out of it. But what do I do when it costs me something to love someone? How does the Bible tell us to love?

God’s Love: Unchanging, Unending, Unconditional!

You hear children say things like this when they are small. “If you don’t play my game, I won’t be your friend anymore!”

Sadly, many adults do the same thing, putting conditions on their willingness to love others. This is often why marriages fail—people are not aware of the unconditional love necessary to make marriage work. Perhaps we should consider more possibilities in our marriage vows, such as, “I promise to love you even if you leave dirty socks on the floor and forget how to take out the garbage.” Such vows would not be very romantic, but they would give engaged couples the opportunity to think about their commitment and the meaning of unconditional love.

Fortunately, God’s love for us is completely unconditional and is freely available to us by grace through faith. We need to understand God’s unconditional love to live in abundant life. Ephesians 2:4-5 says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).”

How amazing to think that while we probably should not even have been liked, God completely, eternally, unconditionally loved us! It can be overwhelming to try to comprehend such love. Ephesians 2:4-5 shows us that God’s love for us is based solely on His grace. Our faith needs to stand on this fact. It is not about the things we do or any value of our own.

God’s unconditional love in Living in the Balance of Grace and Faith. “God loves you. If you could grasp this revelation, it would solve all your problems . . . If you understood how much God loved you, your faith would shoot through the roof. You’d be overwhelmed!”

Understanding God’s love for us empowers us to know that it is always God’s will to heal us; that it is always His will to prosper us; and that He would save us at any price.

Think of God as the opposite of the weather. The weather is frequently changing. In the natural world, we are subject to the conditions of the weather. One day it may be sunny; the next day, storms are brewing. But not with God. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and today, and forever” This unchanging quality of God requires that His love for us is unconditional and unchanging.

4 Types of Love in the Bible

Explore the meaning of eros, storge, philia, and agape, the four types of love in the bible: eros, storge, philia, and agape.

The Bible says that God is love and that humans crave love from the moment of existence. But the word love describes an emotion with vastly differing degrees of intensity.

Four unique forms of love are found in Scripture. They are communicated through four Greek words (Eros, Storge, Philia, and Agape) and are characterized by romantic love, family love, brotherly love, and God's divine love.

What Is Eros Love in the Bible?

Eros (Pronounced: AIR-ohs) is the Greek word for sensual or romantic love. The term originated from the mythological Greek god of love, sexual desire, physical attraction, and physical love, Eros, whose Roman counterpart was Cupid.

Love in the form of Eros seeks its own interest and satisfaction—to possess the object of love. God is noticeably clear in the Bible that eros love is reserved for marriage. Promiscuity of all types was rampant in ancient Greek culture and was one of the obstacles the apostle Paul had to battle when planting churches in the eastern Mediterranean. Paul warned young believers against succumbing to immorality: "So I say to those who aren’t married and to widows—it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust." (1 Corinthians 7:8–9)

But within the boundary of marriage, eros love is to be celebrated and enjoyed as beautiful blessing from God: "Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love." (Proverbs 5:18–19; see also Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7:5; Ecclesiastes 9:9)

Even though the term eros is not found in the Old Testament, Song of Solomon vividly portrays the passion of erotic love.

What Is Storge Love in the Bible?

Family Ties That Keep You Strong

Storge (Pronounced: STOR-jay) is a term for love in the Bible that you may not be familiar with. This Greek word describes family love, the affectionate bond that develops naturally between parents and children, and brothers and sisters.

Many examples of family love are found in Scripture, such as the mutual protection among Noah and his wife, the love of Jacob for his sons, and the strong love the sisters Martha and Mary had for their brother Lazarus. An interesting compound word using storge, "philostorgos," is found in Romans 12:10, which commands believers to "be devoted" to one another with brotherly affection.

Christians are members of God's family. Our lives are knit together by something stronger than physical ties—the bonds of the Spirit. We are related by something more powerful than human blood—the blood of Jesus Christ. God calls his children to love each other with the deep affection of storge love.

What Is Philia Love in the Bible?

Philia love

Philia (Pronounced: FILL-ee-uh) is the type of intimate love in the Bible that most Christians practice toward each other. This Greek term describes the powerful emotional bond seen in deep friendships.

Philia originates from the Greek term phĂlos, a noun meaning "beloved, dear ... a friend; someone dearly loved (prized) in a personal, intimate way; a trusted confidant held dear in a close bond of personal affection." Philia expresses experience-based love.

Philia is the most general type of love in Scripture, encompassing love for fellow humans, care, respect, and compassion for people in need. The concept of brotherly love that unites believers is unique to Christianity. Jesus said philia would be an identifier of his followers: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." (John 13:35, NIV)

What Is Agape Love in the Bible?

God-s-Eternal-Love.jpg

Agape (Pronounced: Uh-GAH-pay) is the highest of the four types of love in the Bible. This term defines God's immeasurable, incomparable love for humankind. It is the divine love that comes from God. Agape love is perfect, unconditional, sacrificial, and pure.

Jesus Christ demonstrated this kind of divine love to his Father and to all humanity in the way he lived and died: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Following his resurrection, Jesus asked the apostle Peter if he loved him (agape). Peter replied three times that he did, but the word he used was phileo or brotherly love (John 21:15–19). Peter had not yet received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost; he was incapable of agape love. But after Pentecost, Peter was so full of God's love that he spoke from his heart and 3,000 people were converted.

Love is one of the most powerful emotions humans can experience. For Christian believers, love is the truest test of genuine faith.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

"Love is long-suffering and kind. It does not envy; does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

So, what is love then? When I can do all these things despite my feelings, regardless of someone’s actions, that is love. I do not feel loving when I am tempted to anger, to impatience, to seek my own, to believe the worst, to give up on someone. But when I deny these feelings and rejoice, am long-suffering, humble myself, bear with someone, endure all things – that is true love. Love lays down its life, those natural reactions and demands that are a part of human nature and expects nothing in return.

“Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13.

What does the Bible say about love? Loving first

“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son.” 1 John 4:10. It is great if someone loves me, and I love them in return. That is easy. But that is not proof of love. God loved us before we loved Him, and we certainly did nothing to deserve that love. What if someone has treated me badly? Where is my love then? Love gives, and not only to those who are good to us. It loves its enemies; it loves first. And it does not disappear if that love is never reciprocated. It endures all things.

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:44-45.

What does the Bible say about love? Godly love

The Bible is crystal clear about forgiving others. But why is it so important, and how do I get the strength to forgive them?

“Love prospers when a fault is forgiven but dwelling on it separates close friends.” “Hatred stirs old quarrels, but love overlooks insults.” "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." "The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him."

“If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother.” 1 John 4:20-21.

Our love for God is not greater than our love for our fellow men. Godly love does not change according to circumstances. It is rooted and grounded.

No exceptions to love.

And there are no exceptions. No “Well, this person doesn’t deserve it.” Jesus laid down His life for us, the ultimate sign of how much He loved us. And no one has ever been less deserving than we are of that. To love does not mean to agree with someone’s sin, to say that everything that they do is OK. Rather, it is to bear with them, to pray for them, to have faith in them, to want the absolute best for them. It is action despite how I feel. Then I can go from having a natural dislike for someone to having a genuine love for them. To help someone and turn them from things that could be harmful to them, I can exhort, advise, or correct them, but only when I do it out of genuine concern and care for them.

Everyone I meet should sense a drawing to Christ through me. Love is what draws people. Goodness, kindness, meekness of heart, patience, understanding. How can someone feel drawn if their experience of me is impatience, haughtiness, rudeness, hate, etc.?

So, if I feel that I am lacking in true Godly love, then I can pray to God that He can show me how I gain more of it. I need to be willing to give up my own self-will and think of others before myself.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13.

Forgiving others can be difficult.

Forgiving others is important, but sometimes it can be difficult to do. Why should I forgive, and how can I do it?

“Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’” Matthew 18:21-22.

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14-15.

Forgiving others who have wronged you, whether for a relatively small thing, or for a seriously damaging act against you, can sometimes seem like an insurmountably difficult thing to do. In some cases, it is a process that really takes time. Yet, the Bible is crystal clear on the necessity of it. And there are no caveats such as “unless,” “if,” or “but.” As in all things, we need to look to our Forerunner, Captain, and Master as our example.

“Father forgive them.”

People spend years searching for the meaning of true love, but very few turns to the Bible to learn what it has to say about it. The Bible is full of passages about love, and it is one of the central themes of scripture. Love is one of the most important virtues of living a Christian life, so we should really be turning to God to understand what it means.

Draw near to God, and in His love, you will find everything you need.

God Showed Joseph Eleven Stars, the Moon & The Sun Bowing Down Before Him, But Never Showed Him the Pit & The Prison. God Promised the Israelites the Land of Milk & Honey but Never Told Them About the Desert Experience. God Will Show You the End:

God Showed Joseph Eleven Stars, the Moon & The Sun Bowing Down Before Him, But Never Showed Him the Pit & The Prison. God Promised the Israelites the Land of Milk & Honey but Never Told Them About the Desert Experience. God Will Show You the End from The Beginning But Will Never Show You the Process to Your Destination. So, Whatever You Are Dealing With, Stay Focused Your Destination Is Far More Important Than What You Are Going Through.

You Cannot Walk In The Promises of God On The Feet of Unsteady, Unstable, Wavering Faith! You Need Fresh Focus, Fresh Faith, Fresh Initiative! Burnout Is When You Have Come To The End Of Yourself And Suddenly Give Up And Withdraw From All Kinds Of Work. You Have Simply Had Enough.

Proverbs 6:6-11, “You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. NOBODY HAS TO TELL IT WHAT TO DO. All summer it stores food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions. SO HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO LAZE AROUND DOING NOTHING? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest.” (MSG)

What can an ant teach me?” I hear you ask. You would be surprised.

Ants fall into the successful category and can teach us how they succeed time and time again.

1. Ants are driven by purpose

By purpose, I mean having a clear long-term objective or goal which shapes everything you do. For example, one ant’s sole job description is to find food for the colony. This is his purpose and all that he inputs this time and energy into, and so it compounds his chances of success.

2. Ant’s work as a team

Ants are team workers and work together to achieve something great. Likewise, for you to achieve something substantial in life, you must align yourself with others who can help propel you to another level.

3. Ants have a time to rest and a time to work

Ants must work with the natural seasons. So, in summer they gather their food and in winter they hibernate to conserve energy because of the lack of food. You need to know when to stop.

Burnout is when you have come to the end of yourself and suddenly give up and withdraw from all kinds of work. You have simply had enough. For this not to happen, you need to schedule periods of rest, especially after the completion of a major project.

4. Ants think big

Now ants can seem like one of the most insignificant insects on the planet because of their size. However, the colonies they built and their contribution to their society are significant.

What big dreams do you have for your future? Pursue those. No matter how small you think you are, you should always pursue something bigger than yourself.

5. Ants prepare ahead of time

Ants prepare their food in Summer because they know that there will be a time when there will be no food to find in wintertime. So, they are constantly preparing for a season that is yet to come upon them. It is a stark contrast with human behavior. When we should be studying, we are watching TV and when we should be working, we are on Facebook communicating with friends. Your priorities can sometimes be driven by what you feel like doing and not by what the most important thing to do is.

The only way you can maximize any given moment is by preparing for it. If you think ahead to that meeting, conference, or event and work backward, you will then be able to prepare adequately.

6. Ants carry workloads they can handle

Although they are small, ants can handle up to one hundred times their weight. They know their limitations. All too often we say ‘yes’ to things that we can’t do and take on responsibilities that we struggle to fulfill. All we need to do is know our boundaries and never venture beyond that point.

7. Ants serve one another

Living for just yourself is a lonely existence. Serving people goes that one step further and asks, ‘What can I do for you?’ You start to live beyond yourself and purposefully contribute positively to others.

When a few ants in a colony are infected by a fungal disease, they spread the disease throughout the colony, by licking it off one another, with each ant receiving as much of the disease as their immune system can fight off effectively.

Far too many of us are sitting around wasting time waiting for someone to come along and tell us what to do next!

Whatever We Do—Or Neglect to Do For That Matter—Always Catches Up With Us Eventually! 1 Corinthians 3:9-15, “Or, to put it another way, you are God’s house. Using the gift God gave me as a good architect, I designed blueprints; Apollos is putting up the walls. Let each carpenter who comes on the job take care to build on the foundation! Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ. Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually, there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you will be found out. The inspection will be thorough and rigorous. You will not get by with a thing. If your work passes inspection, fine; if it does not, your part of the building will be torn out and started over. But you won’t be torn out; you’ll survive—but just barely.” (MSG)

I reiterate we are accountable for what we DO and for what we leave UNDONE! God’s Inspection of the Work You Have Done, or Left Undone, is Coming and You WANT to Pass His Test! Therefore, No More Hesitation, Laziness, or Procrastination, Get Your Work in Order TODAY! Luke 9:62, “Jesus said, “No procrastination. No backward looks. You cannot put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day.” (MSG)

Those who procrastinate end up like the man in playwright James Albury’s verse: “He slept beneath the moon; he baked beneath the sun. He lived a life of going-to-do; and died with nothing done.” Do not let this be descriptive of your life and legacy!

Paul writes: “…God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well…” (Romans 12:6 NLT).

Knowing your ability is one of the keys to understanding life’s assignment. However, you can only plan and prepare for so long, EVENTUALLY YOU’VE GOT TO TAKE SOME ACTION, TAKE SOME INITIATIVE, AND BECOME WHAT YOU’VE BEEN MADE TO BE!

Notice 2 things about taking the Initiative:

1…TAKING INITIATIVE CLOSES THE DOOR TO FEAR: Although none of us wants to admit it, we all have fears. The question is, are we going to control them or allow them to control us? Norman Vincent Peale said: “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result but the cause of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different actions or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.” To have any chance at getting what we desire, we need to work for it. Nothing is as discouraging or draining as hanging on to an Uncompleted Task. The longer we let things slide, the harder they become. And the hardest work is often the accumulation of many easy things that should have been done yesterday, last week, or last month! So how do you get rid of a difficult task? JUST DO IT! Stop talking about it and become it! Turn the blueprint into a building! It is time you Step out of Fear and Walk by Faith! Truth is, once you become engulfed in doing it instead of talking about it, you will find yourself too busy to focus on fear! But standing still and just looking at it will always give you the anxiety that it cannot be accomplished! So today, I decided to send your resume in for that job. So, if you do not qualify, they may be looking for some new blood to train and shake up the office. After all, what is the worst that could happen, they tell you no!? Surely, that will not stop you from breathing and continuing with life. Listen: If you have got a pulse, you have got a purpose, so get to producing it! You do know that you do not have forever, right?! So, go back to school, learn to drive, apply for a job, go after the grant, start the business, move out of state, etc.…whatever you plan to do, know that you only have a limited time on earth to get it done, so start Today, since Yesterday is Gone, and Tomorrow is NEVER Guaranteed to Come!

2…TAKING THE INITIATIVE OPENS THE DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY: People who take the initiative and work hard may succeed or fail. But anyone who does not take initiative is Guaranteed to Fail! So, today ask God, “Is there a decision I should be making? Is there a problem I should be solving? Is there a project I should be starting? Is there a goal I should be setting or striving toward? Is there an opportunity I should be seizing?” Solomon writes, “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” (Ecclesiastes 11:4 TLB). It is better to be 80% sure and start than to wait until you are 100% sure, because by then the opportunity may have passed you by, never to return. So today, DETERMINE TO TAKE SOME INITIATIVE! Remember This: Doors Do not Stay Open Indefinitely! Think about it, when you come home, you enter the door and close it behind you! You do not leave the door open indefinitely! Likewise, supermarket doors close, business doors close, school doors close, office doors close, bank doors close, restaurant doors close, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Lord & Taylor, Payless, and even most Laundromats and 99 cent stores all close! No Door Stays Open Indefinitely! So, while you have the opportunity of an open door, Walk Through It Before It Closes…For Good! That position may not be available tomorrow; that grant, and scholarship may not be offered next year; that mortgage and dealership flyer may not come in the mail again; the chance to travel may not happen again! Write that book on that topic before someone else does; record that song today; even go out on a limb and tell that person how you feel about them, today! Are you getting this? Open doors of opportunity do not stay open indefinitely! So, find your courage, take heart, and go for it! Take the Initiative Now!

The Bible says this: “…Steep yourself in God-reality, GOD-INITIATIVE, God-provisions. You will find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Do not be afraid of missing out. You are my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself.” (Luke 12:29-32 MSG). However, please understand that you can only pray, plan, and prepare for so long, EVENTUALLY YOU HAVE TO STEP OUT IN FAITH AND ACT!

You Cannot Walk in the Promises of God on the Feet of Unsteady, Unstable, Wavering Faith!

May you no longer miss the fruits of divine connections because of insecurities?

So TODAY, DETERMINE TO WALK BY CONFIDENT FAITH AND PUT YOUR FOOT ON IT! WHY? BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD PROMISED: “That’s right. If you diligently keep all these commandments that I command you to obey—love God, your God, do what he tells you, stick close to him—God on his part will drive out all these nations that stand in your way. Yes, he will drive out nations much bigger and stronger than you. EVERY SQUARE INCH ON WHICH YOU PLACE YOUR FOOT WILL BE YOURS. Your borders will stretch from the wilderness to the mountains of Lebanon, from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. No one will be able to stand in your way. Everywhere you go, God-sent fear and trembling will precede you, JUST AS HE PROMISED.” (Deuteronomy 11:22-25 MSG).

SO PUT YOUR FOOT ON IT AND KEEP WALKING BY FAITH! TAKE SOME INITIATIVE, FOR THE PROMISE IS ALREADY YOURS!

Another reason we never get started is because we focus on tomorrow INSTEAD OF TODAY! But the only time over which you have any control is the present. James writes: “Look here, you people who say, ‘tomorrow we are going to a certain town…We will do business there and make a profit.’ How do you know what will happen tomorrow? For your life is like the morning fog—it is here a little while, then it’s gone.” (James 4:13-14 NLT).

The idea of tomorrow can be very seductive, BUT THE PROMISE IT HOLDS IS OFTEN FALSE, AND UNFLATTERING! SO, NO MORE PROCRASTINATION ABOUT TOMORROW, TODAY TAKE SOME INITIATIVE!

One of the last obstacles between Israel and the Promised Land was the River Jordan. But God had a plan. He told the priests carrying the Ark that when they stepped into the river, the waters would roll back.

There are 2 important lessons here for you:

1…NOTHING HAPPENS UNTIL YOU QUIT HOLDING BACK: You cannot wait for everything to be perfect! You cannot wait until all your fears subside! You must take the initiative now! Overcomers understand that Momentum is your friend! As soon as you start moving forward, certain things become clearer and easier. And when the momentum gets strong enough, many of the problems take care of themselves. Maybe you have heard the story of a tourist in a small town who asked an old man, “Can you tell me something this town is noted for?” After a moment’s hesitation he replied, “Well, you can start here and go anywhere in the world you want.” That is true of you too. Where you finish in life is not determined so much by where you start, but by WHETHER YOU START! If you are willing to get started, there is no telling just how far you will go! So, STOP HOLDING BACK AND TAKE SOME INITIATIVE! You Can Start Right Here and Go Anywhere! The priests had to carry the Ark and step into the water! In other words, They Had to Move Forward to Attain the Promise! YOU HAVE TO DO LIKEWISE! SO, PICK YOURSELF UP AND GET TO STEPPING! YOUR PROMISE IS WAITING FOR YOU!

2…YOU MUST BE WILLING TO PERSEVERE: The Jordan River did not dry up the moment the priest stepped into it. God dried it up 26 MILES UPSTREAM, so they had to wait till all that water passed by (See Joshua 3:14-17). Why did God do it that way? Because He sees the big picture! God planned an opening wide enough for not just one or two, but for MORE THAN A MILLION PEOPLE TO CROSS! So, trust God, and take the initiative! Just by your obedience to God and trust in Him, you never know the opening your initiative has set for many others to walk through as well! Your Perseverance Is Not Just for You! So, take some initiative, and get to stepping, there is a multitude waiting on you to make a move!

TODAY, DETERMINED TO TAKE SOME INITIATIVE AND GET MOVING!

The word ‘initiative’ is defined as: “the ability to act independently and with a fresh approach; the power or opportunity to act before others do; a new development or fresh approach to a problem; to do something without being prompted by others.” Sounds a lot like ants don't you think? “You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. NOBODY HAS TO TELL IT WHAT TO DO…” (MSG) This year is the year where you start to walk by faith. This is the year when you start to focus on fulfilling your vision. It is not the year that you repeat past failed behaviors of waiting around to see what someone else is going to do first. No! This Year Make a Move and Do So on Purpose and With Purpose! You Never Know Who You Will Inspire by Your Initiative to Do the Same Thing!

Another key to hold onto is that initiative is developed by the independent act of approaching something freshly. This means, that while you are sitting here waiting for someone to tell you what they have always done, God is waiting for you to use your brain and think of what has not been done already! Take a Fresh Approach! We need no more clones in the church. Ask God to give you initiative that keeps its eyes on the future, not on the past; eyes to see what can be done, not on what has already been done. Fresh Focus, Fresh Faith, Fresh Initiative!

Let us Go! Here are a few quotes I have shared in my reading for today.

Initiative is doing the right thing without being told.” (Victor Hugo)

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

“A lot of people never use their initiative, because no one told them to.” (Banksy)

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” (Arthur Ashe)

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” (Milton Bene)

“Prolonged idleness paralyzes initiative.” (Author Unknown)

“It doesn’t matter if a million people tell you what you can’t do, or if ten million tell you no. If you get one yes from God, that’s all you need.” (Tyler Perry)
